Carlos Amadeu Botelho Byington is a psychiatrist and Jungian analyst. Born in São Paulo, grew up in Rio de Janeiro, where he graduated in Medicine. Specializes in Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis, and in 1965, graduated at the Jung Institute in Zurich. He returned to Brazil and founded, with other colleagues, the Brazilian Society of Analytical Psychology, which has trained by 2005 ninety analysts, and Moitará Society for the study of symbols of Brazilian culture, later incorporated into the SBPA
